ART & VISUAL CULTURE EDUCATOR

About Me
I am a lifelong Tucson resident and have been passionate about art since childhood. My early love for drawing and creating led me to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art and Visual Culture Education at the University of Arizona.
Through my teaching experiences at Wildcat Saturday Art School and Cross Middle School, I have developed a commitment to fostering creativity, exploration, and meaningful engagement across diverse learners.

My teaching practice emphasizes differentiated instruction, hands-on learning, and the development of both technical skills and personal artistic voice. I am dedicated to cultivating a classroom environment where students feel supported, confident, and inspired to express themselves through a variety of media. My goal is to guide students as they grow as artists, thinkers, and individuals.
Artist Statement
My artwork focuses on mental health, society, and personal experience. Watercolor is my main medium, but I frequently explore both 2D and 3D materials, often combining them to expand how an idea can take shape. Through layering, texture, and mixed media, I think about how materials can represent emotional processes and make complex ideas more accessible. This creative approach also guides my teaching, where I encourage students to experiment, problem-solve, and use art to reflect on their own experiences.
